~About the Comic~

In this story's world (similar to our own in the mid to late nineteenth century), the country of Dermenia borders a desert called Alk, long dismissed by the government as too harsh and uninhabitable to settle. It remains a subject of controversy, however, since legend has it that a breathtaking paradise lies on the other side. Dubbed Naut after the book which first told of the legend, "Nautical Fantasma," it is a paradise so desirable that many have died in the desert trying to get there.

Pathfinders of Alk follows a team of pioneers as they explore the desert, hoping to build a permanent path to the other side, so Naut can become a real possibility for everyone who wishes to go there.

~About Me~

I'm currently a student at the Colorado School of Mines. I'm not majoring in any kind of mining or engineering field, but the history of the American West is so fascinating to me that it was part of my inspiration to start this comic. Pathfinders of Alk is my third entry into the world of webcomics.
